Back in 2015, I was strongly working on an Ensemble i created few years ago : the S.A.I. Ensemble (for Saturated & Amplified Instruments).
The point of this unique Ensemble was to perform with saturated instruments (me on synth! yes the only time since Nyseius 15 years before, so 22 years ago!) pieces from the contemporary repertoire such as Philip Glass, La Monte Young, Cornelius Cardew, Terry Riley ....
The Ensemble had members from cult metal bands (such as Secret of the Moon, Seth, Eros Necropsic, Vorkreist, Antaeus, Lord of Mushrooms...) and also classical instrumentists and could adapt its members to each concert stage possibilities.
The public reception was great, the music was very strong, but unfortunately, I was too much in advance and no festival keep their promise and invited us.
Also a last minute cancellation of a very big concert with orchestra made me cancel a recording I wanted to do with this Ensemble.
And ultimately ... the Ensemble S.A.I. failed into oblivion .....

Here is a rarity that I found totally by chance, a complete recording of our Cardew version of his Treatise ! Indeed, for years, I thought that only a short video was made, and you can't imagine my surprise when I found this out while searching on my archives for this Bandcamp page !

Unlike the Terry Riley piece we performed right after the Cardew's, only a small part of the line up was there :

En 2015, je travaillais fortement sur un Ensemble que j'avais créé il y a quelques années : le S.A.I. Ensemble (pour instruments saturés et amplifiés).
L'intérêt de cet Ensemble unique était d'interpréter avec des instruments saturés (moi au synthé ! oui la seule fois depuis Nyseius 15 ans avant, donc 22 ans !) des morceaux du répertoire contemporain tels que Philip Glass, La Monte Young, Cornelius Cardew, Terry Riley ....
L'Ensemble comptait des membres de groupes de métal cultes (tels que Secret of the Moon, Seth, Eros Necropsic, Vorkreist, Antaeus, Lord of Mushrooms ...) et aussi des instrumentistes classiques et pouvait adapter la composition de ses membres aux possibilités de chaque scène de concert.
L'accueil du public a été formidable, la musique était très puissante, mais malheureusement, j'étais trop en avance et aucun festival n'a tenu sa promesse et ne nous a invités.
Aussi une annulation de dernière minute d'un très gros concert avec orchestre m'a fait annuler un enregistrement que je voulais faire avec cet Ensemble.
Et finalement... l'Ensemble S.A.I. est tombé dans l'oubli .....

Voici une rareté que j'ai trouvée totalement par hasard, un enregistrement complet de notre version du Treatise de Cardew ! En effet, pendant des années, j'ai cru qu'il n'y avait qu'une courte vidéo de ce concert, et vous ne pouvez pas imaginer ma surprise quand je l'ai découvert en cherchant dans mes archives en préparant ma page Bandcamp !

Contrairement au morceau de Terry Riley que nous avons joué juste après les Cardew's, seule une petite partie du line up était là :
