I came across this very strange piece a very long time ago. I was at this time very into Tom Johnson music, and Samuel Vriezen was one of the very few (the second?) to have recorded the Chord Catalogue.
He was performing it extremely fast and was so much in love with the piece that he wrote a kind of "answer" to Chord Catalogue with this piece.
He recorded it with the Chord Catalogue, and as much as I remember, he did a croudfunding to do it (something I should do someday....)

Unfortunately, this type of music never match the public expectation, but it is nevertheless very interesting. It is like listening to a new way of expression, very very abstract and meditative !

Je suis tombé sur cette pièce très étrange il y a très longtemps. J'étais à cette époque passionné par la musique de Tom Johnson, et Samuel Vriezen était l'un des très rares (le deuxième ?) à avoir enregistré le Chord Catalogue.
Il l'interprétait extrêmement vite et était tellement amoureux de ce morceau de Johnson qu'il a écrit une sorte de "réponse" à Chord Catalog avec la pièce de cet album.
Il l'a enregistré avec le Chord Catalogue, et autant que je m'en souvienne, il avait réalisé un financement participatif pour pouvoir le faire (quelque chose que je devrais faire un jour....)

Malheureusement, ce type de musique ne répond jamais aux attentes du public, mais est néanmoins très intéressante. C'est comme écouter une nouvelle façon d'expression, très très abstraite et méditative !
