John Cage music is linked with my 20's and the years spent with the great Gerard Fremy with whome i learnt so much.
At this time, I was a Scriabin music lover. It was one of the reason I had chosen to work with Gerard Frémy (as he was one of Heinrich Nehaus assistants). But Gerard felt that I was different from the usual "conservatory" students, and .... he introduced me to John Cage music as ... he worked with him ! He told me what to do with this music, what Cage told him .... I was such amazing moments !

In the 2000's, I might have been one of the very few pianists in the world to perform those 2 pieces, as the other prefered the "Prepared Piano Sonatas" or the Etudes Australes.
On the other hand, each time I performed those pieces, the public loved them !

I feel that this Zen inspired music really had its place on this serie ! I really hope you will like those pieces as much as I do !

John Cage Music est liée à mes 20 ans et aux années passées avec le l'admirable Gerard Fremy, grâce à qui qui j'ai tellement appris.
À ce moment-là, j'étais un amateur de musique de Scriabine. C'est l'une des raisons pour lesquels j'avais choisi de travailler avec Gérard Frémy (il était l'un des assistants de Heinrich Nehaus). Mais Gerard avait senti que j'étais différent des étudiants traditionnel du conservatoire" et ... il m'a introduit la musique de John Cage, et comme ... il a travaillé avec lui!, Il m'a donné d'excellents conseils du Maitre ... Ces moments sont gravés dans ma mémoire.

Dans les années 2000, j'étais un des rares pianistes au monde à jouer ces 2 pièces , les autres préféraient les "Sonatas pour piano préparés" ou les études australes.
D'autre part, chaque fois que j'ai joué ces morceaux, le public les aimait!

Il me semble que cette musique d'inspiration zen a vraiment sa place dans cette série! J'espère vraiment que vous aimerez ces morceaux autant que moi!
