After being the first french concert pianist to support, perform avant-garde, experimental & minimalism music all around the world, with event such as the Night of Minimal Piano, it was time to create a Label / Série dedicated to all the discoveries I did during those last 2 decades : the Nicolas Horvath Discoveries (Collections 1001 Notes)

It was David Sanson that introduced me this music. He wanted me to perform it at his Alterminimalism Festival, but, as many plans, it never happened.
On the other hand, I performed it on my 2nd tour to Ukrain for the fantastic Ukho Festival (there is a youtube live video of it somewhere).
Unlike the composer's own recording, I took the liberty to really follow the score and not to follow the album duration. The whole piece is then freeer with a more important "a temporal" feeling.
I also performed it for one of my Night of Minimal Piano Concert in Collioure with the Book of Hours the next year.

This book of Sounds is really like a long journey from despair to light ! Minimal music under an european scope ! Really moving music !

Après avoir été le premier concertiste français à soutenir, diffuser des musiques d'avant-garde, expérimentales et minimalistes dans le monde entier, avec des événements tels que la Nuit du Piano Minimal, il était temps de créer un Label / Série dédié à toutes les découvertes que j'ai faites durant ces 2 dernières décennies : les Nicolas Horvath Discoveries (Collections 1001 Notes)

C'est David Sanson qui m'a fait découvrir cette musique. Il voulait que je la joue à son Festival d'Alterminimalisme, mais, comme beaucoup de projets, cela ne s'est jamais produit.
D'un autre côté, je l'ai joué lors de ma deuxième tournée en Ukraine pour le fantastique festival Ukho (il y a une vidéo en direct sur youtube quelque part).
Contrairement au propre enregistrement du compositeur, je me suis permis de suivre vraiment la partition et non de suivre la durée de l'album. L'ensemble est alors plus libre avec un sentiment "a temporel" plus important.
Je l'ai également interprétée pour l'un de mes Concerts de la Nuit du Piano Minimal à Collioure avec le Book of Hours l'année suivante.

Ce Book of Sounds est vraiment comme un long voyage du désespoir à la lumière ! De la musique minimale à portée européenne ! Une musique vraiment émouvante !
